The Ark, a Jewish outreach center in Chicago, greets visitors with a digital donor wall for recognition. The staff at the center easily accesses the digital content through the Arreya Digital Signage software service and makes daily updates to events, schedules and their donor listings. The perfect solution to a combination donor wall that contains both updateable donor naming panels and an interactive digital donor wall. Located immediately inside the front door and next to the cafeteria, the new donor wall brightens the space and easily directs visitors to the ongoing activities of The Ark.
Presentations‘ custom design and fabrication brings together all the display requirements, including the digital signage software, Arreya. Which is developed by Presentations. The result is no outsourcing to third party vendors.
For optimum security and durability the commercial ELO touchscreen and the necessary hardware for the digital donor wall are enclosed in a custom surround. Removable for maintenance, but completely enclosed for security. Panels with donor names are on either side of the monitor with panels that are easily and cost effective to update. To complete the design aluminum trim was added to the sides and corners of each section for a clean and modern look.
For fun, a dimensional wordle was created in the shape of The Ark logo and attached to the front of the display. The completed project is a beautiful, durable donor display that greets visitors with daily events and celebrates the many, generous donors.
An interactive digital donor wall was the way to go when combining many different campaigns into one central donor display. With decades of donor participation and giving campaigns the original St. Luke’s Hospital marble donor wall became a challenge to update and was not relevant to the needs of today’s different types of donations. St. Luke’s Hospital Foundation wanted a donor wall that was easy to update and incorporated all of the different campaigns into one visual display.
To begin, a new location by an entrance was chosen to catch the attention of more visitors. Second, a custom Presentations design that incorporates all of the different campaigns and is easy to update, and allows for marketing information and more in depth donor stories. The final design is a spectacular 25 foot wall with 30000 color changing LED lights, full color prints that glow as the colors change, and a digital touchscreen.
The client can easily update the interactive digital donor wall digital signage through Arreya Digital Signage software created by Presentations through a secure administration login. Arreya allows for daily updates to the 55″ ELO touchscreen. Special events, promotions, scholarships and donor stories are a major part of the interactive display. Along with annual donor lists populated using List-eez widget in Arreya. List-eez automatically arranges large donor lists into columns and pages within the digital signage.
Seeing is believing, check out the online YouTube Video of the wall changing colors and the digital interactive signage. The St. Luke’s donor wall and Presentations are featured in the June 2012 issue of Healthcare AV Magazine.
A creative twist on the traditional donor tree
Presentations’ custom design for the Hospital Hospice Care adds a soft and natural look to the space. Working seamlessly with the hospital team, the donor display brings to life the artful vision of this magical donor recognition wall.
At first glance, you’re drawn into the beauty of the donor wall by the soothing earth tones of the individually cut donor leaves, and the whimsy of the etched swirling branches that seem to carry the donor leaves and flow through the air into the serene forest.
The donor tree is a perfect for the small space, which is at the entrance to the hospice unit, and a gathering area for visitors and families, but it also needed to tie into and add an artistic tone. It was only fitting, that the theme of the donor recognition wall, and inpatient hospice unit, embrace the seasons of life and change.
The donor tree leaves and back panels are made of translucent photo panels. Etched line art was added to each panel for a whimsical feeling and wood was used to tie it all together. Presentations went a step further and carried these materials throughout the hospice unit with nearly 20 room naming signs made of these same materials. Special hardware was used to ensure security throughout the busy hospital. Additionally, the key donor was recognized in a separate plaque telling their donor story and honoring their donation to the new Hospice Care facility.
Our ongoing relationship with UnityPoint Healthcare has resulted in an array of visual displays throughout their network of hospitals, clinics and care centers. Our team works closely with the healthcare, marketing and foundation to create custom history displays, digital and static donor recognition, digital marketing, and wayfinding to fit each unique space, budget and mission.
A celebration of the many different donors and giving campaigns is reflected in the many different donor displays custom designed and fabricated by Presentations using their exclusive Rail Wall and Arreya Digital Signage products.
The capital campaign donor wall was constructed by rolling aluminum to emulate cans of food, into an abstract mosaic that graces the large, 2-story lobby. Translucent photos were printed on concave pieces of aluminum and corporate donor logos were added to some of the larger pieces of rolled aluminum.
The 2 of the 3 other donor walls needed to be easily updated and Presentations, exclusive Rail Wall was the perfect choice. The Rail Wall donor walls are great for creating an updateable donor wall. New donor list panels are reprinted and slide in and out and the structure coordinates with the modern, industrial architecture of the space. The designs were developed and fabricated by Presentations to coordinate with the campaigns and differentiate between the annual giving campaigns and the capital campaign donor wall.
The Wall of Hope donor wall is inspiring with custom artwork. Using a local artists renderings and donor signatures to catch the attention of the many visitors, volunteers and corporate donors that help in the busy packing area of the facility.
With the continued success of the facility, another Rail Wall was added to accommodate the many different types of donors. The design reflects the 2 other annual donor walls. The headers panels denote the different giving levels, while the panels are lists of the donors and corporate logos. Each year new panels are created to replace the old panels. Within minutes of installation donors were snapping photos of the new donor recognition display.
As an added bonus, an interactive kiosk greets visitors at the entrance to the facility. It gives information about the outreach programs and meets LEED requirements.
Leaf Donor Wall Custom Designed for the Space
The hospital leaf donor wall celebrates the many donors that make the new health facility possible. Working together, Our team of designers and engineers envisioned the new lobby space and guarantee a location for the donor display prior to the building completion. The conceptual phase of the donor wall project involves understanding the Center, their mission, their goals, and all aspects to include within the leaf donor wall. After a walk through of the center it was decided the best place for impact and viewing would be on the large 20 foot lobby wall. The design challenges to include 610 donor names within 6 giving levels, fit the space and create an art piece that relates to the Center.
The final design is a simplified, airy tree with blowing leaves dancing in the spirit of the project. The addition of the quote, “Patients First . . . Building a Legacy of Care.” clearly explains the mission. The leaf donor wall is mounted to a printed background to represent the rolling hillside landscape of the area and completely covers the dark green wall. The abstract curved shape to the panels helps soften the clinical feel to the waiting room. The main fall orange tree color compliments the green interior, walls and furniture to evoke emotion. Individually produced acrylic leafs make up the many donors and is color coordinated to its giving level To complete the display, a printed legend explains the giving levels.
