Digital Donor Wall For Chicago Jewish Center

Digital Donor Wall For Chicago Jewish Center

The Ark, a Jewish outreach center in Chicago, greets visitors with a digital donor wall for recognition. The staff at the center easily accesses the digital content through the Arreya Digital Signage software service and makes daily updates to events, schedules and their donor listings. The perfect solution to a combination donor wall that contains both updateable donor naming panels and an interactive digital donor wall. Located immediately inside the front door and next to the cafeteria, the new donor wall brightens the space and easily directs visitors to the ongoing activities of The Ark.arreya-digital-donor-recognition-wall-touchscreen

Presentations‘ custom design and fabrication brings together all the display requirements, including the digital signage software, Arreya. Which is developed by Presentations. The result is no outsourcing to third party vendors.

For optimum security and durability the commercial ELO touchscreen and the necessary hardware for the digital donor wall are enclosed in a custom surround. Removable for maintenance, but completely enclosed for security. Panels with donor names are on either side of the monitor with panels that are easily and cost effective to update. To complete the design aluminum trim was added to the sides and corners of each section for a clean and modern look.

For fun, a dimensional wordle was created in the shape of The Ark logo and attached to the front of the display. The completed project is a beautiful, durable donor display that greets visitors with daily events and celebrates the many, generous donors.

A Donor Tree for Hospice Care

A Donor Tree for Hospice Care

A creative twist on the traditional donor tree

Presentations’ custom design for the Hospital Hospice Care adds a soft and natural look to the space. Working seamlessly with the hospital team,  the donor display brings to life the artful vision of this magical donor recognition wall.

Donor Wall - Hospice Donor Recognition- Cedar Rapids, IAAt first glance, you’re drawn into the beauty of the donor wall by the soothing earth tones of the individually cut donor leaves, and the whimsy of the etched swirling branches that seem to carry the donor leaves and flow through the air into the serene forest.

The donor tree is a perfect for the small space, which is at the entrance to the hospice unit, and a gathering area for visitors and families, but it also needed to tie into and add an artistic tone.  It was only fitting, that the theme of the donor recognition wall, and inpatient hospice unit, embrace the seasons of life and change. donor plaque with photo

The donor tree leaves and back panels are made of translucent photo panels.  Etched line art was added to each panel for a whimsical feeling and wood was used to tie it all together.  Presentations went a step further and carried these materials throughout the hospice unit with nearly 20 room naming signs made of these same materials. Special hardware was used to ensure security throughout the busy hospital. Additionally, the key donor was recognized in a separate plaque telling their donor story and honoring their donation to the new Hospice Care facility.  donor plaque room

Custom Donor Tree with Donor Leaves

Custom Donor Tree with Donor Leaves

The custom donor tree is a special rendition on the traditional donor trees of past. No brass plates, but bright acrylic leaves each with a donor name fly across the custom wallpaper print. Our challenge was to create a donor recognition wall to fit the design of this new building and to showcase the church’s message.

Choosing the location for the donor wall was easy – a large front wall just as you enter the church with great lighting from the windows. Church Donor Recognition Leaf Wall by Presentations, Inc in Cedar Rapids, IA Because the church has a new modern feel and very open floor design we didn’t want to just showcase traditional catholic symbolism on this donor wall. So we researched Pope John XXIII, who he was andChurch Donor Leaf Wall by Presentations, Inc in Cedar Rapids, IA what he did. The spark to our design for this donor wall came from his quote “throw open the windows of the church and let the fresh air of the spirit blow through”. So our concept was to use this quote and to create a sense of the spirit blowing into the church – a perfect message allowing for multiple interpretations and a great tie into John XXIII Catholic Church.

With all the while walls in the church the donor wall needed to have some contrast, so we brought the outside in. We designed a custom background of a fresh blue sky with wispy clouds and printed this to wall paper and installed it over the entire wall. We chose the leaf as the shape for the recognition name plates since it is the natural object to blow in the wind and it’s a common donor recognition symbol. The custom acrylic cut leaves were whimsically arranged to show the motion of wind, as if the fresh air of the Spirit was blowing in. The fall colors complement the blue sky and bring some warmth into the white space. Each leaf is individually applied to the wall paper. A legend was included to identify the three campaigns by the leaf color. The structure of the content was that two campaigns were already complete but the building campaign would continue for years to come. The design included 900 leaves and initially only 300 named. This donor recognition wall is routinely updated by adding names to the leaves that were intentionally left blank.

Now when entering John XXII Catholic Church the donor wall is an impactful first impression and while it grabs attention it also celebrates involvement and it really gives people the feeling that they donated to something special.

Hospital Memorial Donor Wall Remembers Lost Loved Ones

At the St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, there is a program that provides family and friends the opportunity to give gifts in remembrance of loved ones. St. Luke’s came to Presentations for a donor wall to recognize those donations. The St. Luke’s Hospital anticipated that they would be changing their logo shortly after this project was completed; therefore, any logos on the display needed to be easily updated when necessary. Since the new donor wall would be placed near the large cumulative digital donor display, the esthetics of the two designs needed to coordinate and stay within the budget.

The Wall of Remembrance, originally called Heart Spaces, blends nicely with the digital donor display. To ease the transition, a similar photo was used for the backgrounds, as well as the same fonts and wood as the previous display. However, no lights were used for the Wall of Remembrance in order to keep the project on budget.  The wall can also be updated annually with the use of sandwich Plexiglas panels to house the donor listing.  In addition, the logo was places on a separate plaque that can be easily replaced when a new logo has been selected.

Hospital Leaf Donor Wall Celebrates New Facility

Hospital Leaf Donor Wall Celebrates New Facility

Leaf Donor Wall Custom Designed for the Space

The hospital leaf donor wall celebrates the many donors that make the new health facility possible. Working together, Our team of designers and engineers envisioned the new lobby space and guarantee a location for the donor display prior to the building completion. The conceptual phase of the donor wall project involves understanding the Center, their mission, their goals, and all aspects to include within the leaf donor wall. After a walkPalmer2 through of the center it was decided the best place for impact and viewing would be on the large 20 foot lobby wall. The design challenges to include 610 donor names within 6 giving levels, fit the space and create an art piece that relates to the Center.

The final design is a simplified, airy tree with blowing leaves dancing in the spirit of the project. The addition of the quote, “Patients First . . . Building a Legacy of Care.” clearly explains the mission. The leaf donor wall is mounted to a printed background to represent the rolling hillside landscape of the area and completely covers the dark green wall. The abstract curved shape to the panels helps soften the clinical feel to the waiting room. The main fall orange tree color compliments the green interior, walls and furniture to evoke emotion. Individually produced acrylic leafs make up the many donors and is color coordinated to its giving level To complete the display, a printed  legend explains the giving levels.
